Apple
Apple, that's my new word. I started saying it last Friday and now I can't stop. I say it when I wake up in the morning, when I'm riding in the car, and well, just about all of the time. Except when I'm eating apple sauce. My parents don't think I know what it means. The meaning doesn't matter, as long as I look cute when I say it.

Mommy's Little Helper
Today my mommy was playing with one of my toys - a foam rectangle - and dropped it on the floor. I walked over to my mommy, picked up the toy and handed it to her. I have seen my playmates at daycare do this and my parents hand me toys that I drop, so I figured I should give it a try.
My mom looked happy when I gave her the toy, so I took away from her and gave it back again. I think this is how it works.
I just found a tape measure that daddy forgot to but back in the toolbox. Normally I get really quite and play with new things but this time I hand delivered it to my mom. I guess I am turning into mommy's little helper.

Hmm, looks interesting |
Bottoms Up! Ok, I really didn't get this super-sized serving, but it makes for a good picture. |

1 Year Older and 10 Years Wiser
Hey, I'm back. Did you miss me? Tomorrow I'll be 13 months old. Time sure does fly when you're having fun.
My latest trick is crossing my fingers. Usually it's the first two fingers, but some times I can cross the middle two fingers. Who knew my little fingers could cross each other. The real story isn't about my finger crossing but where I like to sit.
I saw the kids at daycare sitting on the teachers laps so I started sitting on my mom and dad's lap at home. If we play together or watch TV together, I like to sit on their lap. I decided I would step it up a notch and sit on their butts. That's right, if my mom is sitting on the floor, I go behind her, slide down her back and try to sit on her butt. I figure, if you don't want anyone to sit on it, then don't have it sticking out there.
My mom thought the butt sitting thing was cute, yet awkward...most likely learned behavior. This week she had a chit-chat session with my daycare teacher and found out that I do the same thing at daycare. Surprise! I don't discriminate. My teacher also noted that she always knew it was me sliding down her back because I was the only one who did that. Haha, so much for learned behavior. I'm 1 year old and 10 years wiser. You could learn a few things from me.
